Nice sushi place across Coast Highway from the Montage Resort. It is recommended to make a reservation prior to arriving. Luckily, it was not yet too busy on a Sunday at 5pm (when it opens), and we were able to get a table. The decor and space are really nice -- very clean and modern. The menu has a lot of different items ranging from appetizers to rolls to nigiri pieces. I had the premium chirashi, which came out in a decently sized bowl with fresh fish. Staff was nice and attentive. The space had a relaxing vibe to it. Overall, a good experience.
Came for lunch and I was surprised to see that they offered a really good lunch special. They have the sashimi lunch priced at $28 and sushi lunch priced at $26. It not only comes with miso soup and salad, but also 3 other items. My sashimi lunch came with a tempura hand roll, 4 piece spicy tuna roll and 4 piece California roll. You will definitely be full! The fish was fresh and the rice in the rolls were perfect. Definitely a great value! Service was good. It's pretty small inside. When I came early afternoon the tables were full, so we sat at the sushi bar.

We came here to celebrate an important birthday. Thank you for the service and staff at " O Fine Japanese Cuisine" for making tonight special. The food was fresh and brought out at a fast rate. We ordered everything from edamame, seaweed salad, to lobster rolls, shrimp tempura rolls, chicken teriyaki and spicy dragon roll to name a few. Would definitely come back. It's one of my favorite sushi places. Parking is free and ambiance inviting.! 10/10 Protip: i would reserve on open table to be sure you have a spot. Its a small venue and they can get busy with the summer starting and patrons coming in from the beach and montage beach hotel.
I forgot how much I like this place and now that they have Wi-Fi I will come here more often! The sushi is great I really like their sashimi specials especially the halibut with truffle The cucumber salad was pretty tasty. I really like the yellowtail jalapeño. All of the staff wears masks so they're very hygienic!
Good sushi at good prices! I came here with one of my coworkers who was craving sushi as it was one place that we both haven't been. We planned on being there right when it opened and I had made a reservation just in case. It was easy to locate the restaurant, tucked away in the corner of the strip mall right in front of Gelson's. The workers open the front doors and we marched up and in, and got seated immediately. Our server got our drink orders fairly quickly, and we glanced through the menu. It took a bit for our server to come back to take our order, but that's OK. Since I was starving and eager to try a bunch of stuff, I ordered the following: Crispy Lobster Special Roll, Salmon Belly Sashimi, Sweet Shrimp Sushi, Crispy Rice w/ Spicy Tuna. The food, was delicious: - Crispy Lobster Special Roll: Aesthetically pleasing and tastes as good as it looks. It comes out with an empty lobster tail for visual appeal. Fried tempura surrounds pieces of onion and lobster on the roll, and tastes amazing. - Salmon Belly Sashimi: Fresh tasting and comes out on a small bed of ice and looks beautiful. - Sweet Shrimp Sushi: I love sweet shrimp and this did not disappoint. This is a must order. The heads were delicious :'). - Crispy Rice w/ Spicy Tuna: Also beautifully presented like the other dishes. Little squares of crispy rice topped with spicy tuna and a jalapeno. So dang good. This restaurant is a good one! A place where presentation and taste go hand in hand and does not disappoint. Give it a shot!
